Summary
- Prohibits counties and municipalities from regulating building design elements of residential buildings. It eliminates regulations regarding exterior color, cladding material, roof structures, architectural ornamentation, window and door placement, room layout, and minimum square footage. Prohibitions on regulations do not apply to historic landmarks, manufactured housing, multifamily dwellings, regulations created by a private covenant or contractual agreement, or regulations directly or substantially related to state or federal safety codes.
