Summary
- Requires municipalities to include, as part of their comprehensive plan’s housing program, goals, implementation actions, and time frames for the development of low- and moderate-income housing.
- Requires that it takes no longer than 18 months to bring the municipality’s zoning map into compliance with the future land use map created as part of the comprehensive plan process.
- Requires municipalities to include as part of the implementation program for their comprehensive plan an annually-reviewed strategic plan.
- Provides that, if a municipality fails to update and re-adopt its comprehensive plan within 12 years from the date of the previous plan’s adoption, the municipality will not be able to utilize the comprehensive plan to deny a municipal land use decision.
