Summary
- Adds among growth program management goals the promotion of choice, economic diversity, and affordability in housing for low- and moderate-income households.
- Includes among growth management comprehensive plan requirements the analysis of housing stock for low- and moderate-income households.
- Requires the municipality or multimunicipal region to seek to achieve a level of at least 10% of new residential development that meets the definition of affordable housing. To do so, encourages cluster housing, reduced minimum lot and frontage sizes, increased residential densities, use of municipally owned land, accessory dwelling units (ADUs), the promotion of housing for older adults, and other measures.
