Summary
- Authorizes planning commissions to delegate to its staff the approval of preliminary or provisional land development plans or subdivisions plats that are consistent with previously adopted standards for final plats and review of major subdivisions or land development applications.
- Requires planning commission staff to notify applicants in writing whether their proposed subdivisions or land development has been classified as minor within a certain timeframe following the submission of a subdivision or land development plat.
- Relaxes the requirement that a planning commission or its staff review applications for major subdivision or land development within 45 days provided that the commission review the application at its next meeting, as long as the meeting is within 60 days of receipt of the application.
- Authorizes planning commissions to delegate completeness review of applications for major subdivision or land development plans and plats to its staff and relaxes the requirement to hold a public hearing within 45 days of a determination of completeness, provided that it holds the hearing at its next regularly scheduled meeting.
