Summary
- Requires the Department of Personnel to create and maintain an inventory of unused state-owned real property and to determine whether the identified property is suitable for the construction of affordable housing, child care facilities, public schools, residential mental and behavioral health care facilities, renewable energy facilities, or other purposes.
- Authorizes the department to solicit proposals from qualified developers to construct affordable housing, child care facilities, public schools, residential mental and behavioral health care facilities, or renewable energy facilities on unused state-owned real property deemed suitable by the department. Requires that any budget requests for these purposes be made through the regular budget process and prohibits such requests from being made through a supplemental appropriation.
