Summary
- Outlines a procedure for modifications of developments approved under the streamlined, ministerial approval process that:
- Allows development proponents to request a modification to an approved development if such a request is submitted before the issuance of the final building permit,
- Requires local governments to approve modifications consistent with objective planning standards,
- Requires local governments to determine if the requested modification is consistent with objective planning standards within 60 days after submission or within 90 days if design review is required, and
- Allows local governments to apply objective planning standards adopted after the initial development application:
- If the development increases residential units or total square footage by 15 percent or more or
- If the number of residential units or total square footage changes by 5 percent or more and newer objective planning standards are required to mitigate or avoid a specific, adverse impact;
