Summary
- Extends the applicable time for the expiration, effectuation, or utilization of a housing entitlement by 18 months, provided the entitlement was issued before and was in effect on January 1, 2024 and will expire prior to December 31, 2025;
- Excludes housing entitlements that were extended for at least 18 months by a state or local agency on or after January 1, 2024 but before the effective date of the act; and
- Defines housing entitlement to include approvals, permits, or other entitlements needed for a housing development project issued by a state or local agency, including ministerial approvals; tentative, vesting, or parcel maps; or a vested right associated with such an approval, permit, or other entitlement.
