Summary
- Extends the timeframe for a Native American Tribe to respond to a lead agency and request consultation for any housing development project by 30 days
- Allows the Department of Housing and Community Development to include in the housing element an analysis of government and potential government constraints upon housing for persons with a characteristic identified by a specified provision of the Unruh Civil Rights Act. This could include the maintenance, improvement, or development of housing for persons based on sex, race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, disability, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, sexual orientation, citizenship, primary language, or immigration status.
- Extends housing entitlements issued before and was in effect on March 4, 2020 and with expiration dates before December 31, 2021 by 18 months in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
