2023 Focus on the Use of Housing Choice Vouchers in New York City
This year’s Focus report explores the role of Housing Choice Vouchers in supporting low-income households in New York City, including whether the availability of vouchers helps to open up housing choices in neighborhoods of greater opportunity. We also look at how project-level subsidies work in tandem with vouchers to expand access to affordable housing for voucher holders. In addition, we consider the extent to which vouchers contribute to stability by measuring eviction filing rates among voucher households.
