Summary
- Incentivizes development in county-designated transit-oriented development (TOD) areas; requires the TOD Infrastructure Improvement District Board to consider the infrastructure needs of transit-supportive density requirements; and requires the strategic plan developed by the Hawaiʻi Interagency Council for TOD to delineate county-designated TOD areas for each county.
- Establishes the Mixed-Income Subaccount within the Rental Housing Revolving Fund to finance rental projects that prioritize diverse affordability and transit-supportive density. It requires the TOD Infrastructure Improvement District Board to consider the infrastructure needs of high-density areas.Nonprofit or government projects are given preference. The account sunsets on 6/30/2030.
