Summary
- Creates the Strengthen Kentucky Homes Program fund to provide financial grants to mitigate insurable dwellings against catastrophic winds and hail events. Provides insurable dwellings must at least comply with the most recent version of FORTIFIED Home or FORTIFIED Multifamily construction standards published by the Insurance Institute for Business and Home Safety. Provides that the commissioner of the Department of Insurance can determine the specific standards and designations required for any insurable dwelling, and the commissioner can create and establish the eligibility criteria, requirements and procedures for obtaining a financial grant.
