Summary
- Amends Section 66332 of the Government Code to extend the rules governing permit denial to include unpermitted junior accessory dwelling units, in addition to unpermitted accessory dwelling units.
- Requires local governments to clearly communicate these rules to the public through permit checklists, agency websites, and other public materials, and allows local agencies to inspect unpermitted units and advise homeowners on health and safety issues that would need to be corrected before a permit can be approved.
