Summary
- Section 102 provides for a new executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities empowered to develop and implement state housing policy. The new office is authorized to, among other activities, administer housing-related financial assistance programs and housing vouchers, oversee state-aided public housing, and support communities in solving local housing-related problems.
- Section 117 establishes an infrastructure program, HousingWorks, under which the new executive office can provide or match funds to support public infrastructure improvements near planned housing development, preservation, or rehabilitation or to build or rehabilitate transit-oriented housing located within .5 miles of a transit station.
