In 2024, Fordham/University Heights was the city’s 49th largest neighborhood by population out of 59 neighborhoods. It has the 12th largest proportion of nonwhite population, the 54th highest median income, and the 48th most expensive rents of the city’s 59 neighborhoods. From 2010 to 2025, the neighborhood added 6,496 new housing units, 1,965 units of which were market rate and 4,531 units of which were income restricted.
