Summary
- Cities and towns are prohibited from using the connection of the municipal sewer system as leverage to force property owners to include a deed restriction on their property that requires the development or provision of affordable housing. Affordable housing is defined as “residential housing that is rented to or owned by a person who qualifies as a low-income or moderate-income household, however defined.”
