Summary
- Effective January 1, 2024, reduces the affordable housing requirement for inclusionary zoning from 25% to 15% of total units.
- Reduces the number of market rate units required by municipalities from two to one for every one affordable unit required.
- Changes eligibility for density bonuses to exclude off-site construction or rehabilitation or donation of land suitable for development of the required affordable units.
- Under the requirements for density bonuses, zoning incentives, and municipal subsidies, outlines that the total number of units for the development shall equal the number originally proposed, including the required affordable units, plus the additional units that constitute the density bonus.
