Summary
- Requires municipal governments to offer subsidies, including adjustments and zoning incentives, for developments including at least 25% affordable housing. At a minimum, these subsidies must include:
- A density bonus, which varies based on whether the project is connected to public sewer and water.
- Limited parking requirements. No more than one off-street parking space per dwelling unit may be required for units up to and including two bedrooms.
- Limited bedroom requirements. Municipality shall not limit the number of bedrooms to anything less than three per dwelling unit for single family dwelling units.
- Limited floor area requirements, in conformance with state Housing Maintenance and Occupancy Code.
- Forbids municipalities from restricting comprehensive permit applications and permits by any ordinance that places a limit or moratorium on the development of residential units.
- Revises comprehensive permit application procedure.
