Summary
- Amends permitting and processing across a range of regulations, including but not limited to those pertaining to watershed protection and environmental and wastewater management. Some of these regulations discuss allowable residential density for water and environmental conservation purposes.
- Authorizes the Utilities Commission to adopt procedures to allow an owners’ association to charge for the costs of providing water or sewer service to occupants of townhomes, as defined in the bill, within a planned community. Also authorizes a unit owners’ association to charge for the costs of providing water or sewer service to occupants of condominiums.
- Prohibits local government zoning and development regulations from requiring additional entrances into a residential subdivision beyond the number of entrance requirements into a residential subdivision required by the relevant state fire code.
