Summary
- Allows housing development projects on any real property owned by a local educational agency if the following requirements are met:
- Consists of at least 10 units;
- All units will be rented first to local educational agency employees, then to employees of adjacent local educational agencies, then to local public employees, and then to the general public;
- The project shall have a recorded deed restriction for at least 55 years, making the majority of units affordable to lower or moderate-income households, with at least 30 percent of units affordable to lower income households;
- The project meets applicable density and height regulations;
- The project is adjacent to property on which residential use is principally permitted;
- The project is located on an infill site;
- The project satisfies other local objective zoning, subdivision, and design review standards;
- The project is entirely located within an applicable urban limit line or urban growth boundary; and
- The project complies with all infrastructure-related requirements, including impact fees.
