Summary
- Expands the definition of major transit stop to include bus rapid transit stations, which exempts additional infill residential projects from the California Environmental Quality Act, provided that such projects are within a half-mile of the bus rapid transit station and meets other applicable requirements.
- Adding Section 21060.2 to the Public Resources Code, defining bus rapid transit to involve full-time dedicated bus lanes or operation in a separate right-of-way with a service frequency of 15 minutes or less during peak commute period, transit signal priority, all-door boarding, efficient fare collection systems, and defined stations.
