In an effort to rehabilitate underutilized New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) properties, the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) partners with NYCHA to develop vacant NYCHA properties into affordable housing for low-income residents. Financing, target population, and developer type vary by property.
