Sophia Hughes is a Policy and Communications Graduate Researcher at the Furman Center, and a first-year MPA candidate at NYU Wagner specializing in Public Policy Analysis. She is originally from Los Angeles, California, and received her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Michigan before moving to New York City. Sophia formerly worked at a public relations agency, providing strategic communications support for real estate developers, nonprofits, and think tanks focused on bolstering New York City’s affordable housing stock and advocating for the city’s homeless population.
