NYU Furman Center and New York Housing Conference Host 2025 Mayoral Forum on Housing and Homelessness
On Thursday, May 1, the NYU Furman Center and New York Housing Conference co-hosted the 2025 Mayoral Forum on Housing and Homelessness with three qualifiying mayoral candidates, including: Adrienne Adams, Speaker of the New York City Council,
Brad Lander, Comptroller of New York City, and Scott Stringer, Former Comptroller of New York City. State Sens. Zellnor Myrie and Jessica Ramos were unable to attend due to legislative matters in Albany.
Participating candidates discuss a number of critical issues facing New Yorkers, including housing affordability, federal funding, zoning reform, and affordable housing development. Candidates also addressed the growing homelessness crisis in New York City.
Moderated by NY1’s Errol Louis, the forum was a data-driven, policy-focused discussion where candidates will discuss their proposed solutions to address New York City’s affordable housing needs and homelessness.
