Our History

Established in 1995, the NYU Furman Center is a joint center of the New York University School of Law and the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. We are named in honor of NYU Law alumnus Jay Furman, class of ’71, a founding board member and longtime supporter of the Center. A range of philanthropic, corporate, and government sponsors, as well as dedicated individuals, provide generous financial support and vision for our ongoing work.
