Explore 6 New Flood Zone & Rent Stabilization Indicators on CoreData.nyc

New York City, USA - December 10, 2012: Two men seen passing by Front and Fulton Streets at the South Street Seaport-Fulton Market district in Lower Manhattan. Six weeks after Hurricane Sandy's flood water severely damaged the area retail shops are boarded up and dumpsters are being filled with flood damaged debris.

Join the NYU Furman Center for an online webinar on Tuesday, Sept. 1 to learn how to use our CoreData.nyc platform. Our team will also introduce six new indicators related to flood zones and neighborhood-level rent stabilization data.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Use CoreData.nyc and the Neighborhood Data profiles to access key indicator data on demographics, economic conditions, housing affordability, and other indicators of well-being in your community
  • Explore changing housing and economic trends in New York City neighborhoods
  • Access the Subsidized Housing Database on CoreData.nyc to find information about subsidized units, their program details, and dates that their affordability restrictions may expire
  • Leverage expanded data on floodplains and hurricane evacuation zones for subsidized housing and explore different segments of rent-stabilized housing across New York City.
