Chloe Cowan

Chloe Cowan is a Data Compliance and Management Associate at the NYU Furman Center and a recent graduate of Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College, where she earned an M.S. in Information Security and Policy Management. She holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Sociology from Northeastern University as well, where she developed her interest in using data analytics and software engineering to understand the impacts of technology, surveillance, and privacy on communities and public policy challenges. Her work and research interests focus on data governance, privacy, information security, and the use of data analytics to evaluate surveillance practices and collective privacy challenges.
