Summary
- Established the Housing Our Neighbors with Dignity Program which allows the Housing Trust Fund Corporation to finance the purchase, acquisition, holding or conversion of distressed hotels and commercial office properties for use as permanently affordable housing to be made available for low-income households and people experiencing homelessness.
- States that all units in properties converted under this program shall be rent stabilized, and at least fifty percent of all converted properties shall be set aside for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
- Outlines that properties will be owned, operated and managed by nonprofit organizations.
- Outlines minimum standards and appliances for properties and units.
- Includes prevailing wage requirements for properties in a city with a population of one million or more.
