Summary
- Declares the intent for equitable treatment of home ownership in state and local affordable housing programs given that ownership provides an opportunity for low-income families to build inter-generational wealth.
- Specifying that both rental and owner-occupied intermodal, affordable housing projects that support infill and compact development and are eligible for funding under the Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities Program, as well as transit-oriented development projects that include affordable or rental or owner-occupied housing.
- Requires the Strategic Growth Council to adopt guidelines or selection criteria that includes both rental and owner-occupied affordable housing units
