Summary
- Requires local governments to allow single-family dwellings within urban growth boundary of a city (with population greater than 25,000) in residential lots platted and zoned for such uses, unless the localities determine the lot cannot be adequately served by water, sewer, stormwater, contains a slope of 25% or greater, is within a floodplain, or development is constrained by existing land use regulations relating to natural disasters and hazards.
- States that in complying with these amendments, a local government is not required to consider whether amendments to the local comprehensive plan affect transportation facilities.
- Applies to dwelling unit applications filed on or after March 1, 2020.
